mfakto 0.13 released
I've loaded the windows bits of mfakto 0.13 to [URL]http://mersenneforum.org/mfakto/mfakto-0.13/[/URL], linux bits follow tomorrow.
Please run the selftest first as usual (-st), and don't forget to send benchmark info to [URL="http://www.mersenne.ca/mfaktc.php"]James[/URL]. Using a single instance with GPU sieve enabled, this can be any normal run. Have fun and find many factors! |

Im impressed. |
[QUOTE=Bdot;341009]At 1200MHz (reference default is 1000MHz), this card has about 148% of your 7770@1100MHz (def 1000), or 98% of my 7850@1050MHz (def 860).
This is within 5% of the theoretical #-of-cores x clockspeed comparison.[/QUOTE] The stock clocks of the 7770 and 7790 are same, 1000 MHz. I overclocked mine to 1100 MHz. [/QUOTE] Linux bits are there as well now. [QUOTE=kracker;341035]The stock clocks of the 7770 and 7790 are same, 1000 MHz. I overclocked mine to 1100 MHz. [/QUOTE] Yes, that's what I meant to say. And 7790@1200MHz is 148% of 7770@1100MHz. |

Yes, that's what I meant to say. And 7790@1200MHz is 148% of 7770@1100MHz.[/QUOTE] just to compare porportions, what is the Ghz days on these cards ? |

The 7790@1200MHz should be at ~230 GHz-days/day for factoring between 2[SUP]70[/SUP] and 2[SUP]73[/SUP]. From 2[SUP]73[/SUP] to 2[SUP]82[/SUP] it should be around 205 GHz-days/day. The 7770@1100MHz is ~[SUP]2[/SUP]/[SUB]3[/SUB] of that. |

Thats similar to 6970.. |

I think, 6970 should still be 10 or 15% ahead - at stock clock it should reach ~260/230 GHz-days/day for tests below/above 2[SUP]73[/SUP], respectively. Is that about what you see? Note that the mentioned 7790 results are 20% overclocked. |

How could you do that to me! Release a new wersion and calling it stable without letting me bash it for a while...
Anyhow, I have downloaded it and I ran the self test... look what i found! [CODE]Selftest statistics number of tests 287351 successful tests 287351 selftest PASSED![/CODE]Not even I could break this version.... yet... Great work! Thanks! /Göran |
There's still time to bash it ... just keep trying
Did you all send a benchmark run to James? |
