I am following this thread, but coudn't drop a line because I have had 2 years of big troubles in "RealLife"(C).
This is mainly the reason why I didn't offer to host the page on our FermatSearch website: I could, but my updates would risk to be slow, especially at first, while instantiating new SQL tables for the factors. Anyway, if no one is going to carry this weight, I will  Just let me know. Luigi |
Reserved ranges on FermatSearch
Reserved ranges on FermatSearch requested during the year 2014 and not yet completed are going to be released.
http://www.fermatsearch.org/stat/running.php?id=data Anyone interested in taking them? Luigi |
Use http://prothsearch.net/fermat.html and supplement it with the eight additional factors (after February 13 2015) listed at http://www.fermatsearch.org/news.html
I created a CSV file from this combined data, but am wondering how to verify the largest factors. How to use modular exponentiation when 2^2^m becomes enormous? I am probably missing some obvious mathematical point...
I could import the CSV on a new table on FermatSearch, and credit your work (as well as Prof. Keller) on the site. You can easily verify the factor using a different program and a much shorter range of k (or I could do it for you, if needed) Luigi |

You can easily verify the factor using a different program and a much shorter range of k (or I could do it for you, if needed) Luigi
Well, here is the CSV file I created, by reformatting http://prothsearch.net/fermat.html and adding stuff from http://www.fermatsearch.org/news.html. No credit is needed, it was just a small amount of work. It should be rechecked and tested, because I didn't verify the factors myself. I had a mail fom Maxi Pacher, his ranges are all confirmed, he only needs some time to finish them.
