Primenet gave me a known prime for LL testing
Here's what the manual assignments page just gave me (among several others):
Test=key,43112609,,0 Much as I'd love to discover the world's largest known prime, I don't think it counts if someone else has already discovered it. |
Obviously, that shouldn't happen!
The stored procedure that makes assignments available was not designed to handle improper input. I've changed the stored procedure to validate its inputs. I've not looked into how it got called with bad input. It's a mystery. curtisc got a known prime too. |

Maybe it's a sign from St. Marin...
...that the next (hitherto unknown) Mersenne prime is near!
Speaking of which, I wonder if George and Scott have checked out the PrimeNet notification system so that we don't leave a new prime "undiscovered" for a couple months like we did last time around. |
