What does your 'better half' think of all this nerdy prime stuff?

My Mrs has no interest in it at all but is happy for me in my little world!

Mine occasionally helps me with any TEX symbols I want to type (he's proficient in Latex, I'm not) and takes an interest in some of the mathematics that gets discussed here if I bring it up. He's a much better mathematician than I am. But he shows no interest in taking part in distributed computing projects like GIMPS, nor does he like internet forums.

but if you do like to say on behalf of C ...

concerning the job ...
we do not like to drive ... even if power ...
generally used to aid in conservation centers
credits ... and we follow numbers in pivot tables that we created with some of us also be of help in the kitchen to teach in schools to support, learn more, please rest have permission guides and bear arms on behalf of institutions (cc) ... [B]|_|[/B] do ?

None of my siblings or parents has interests similar to mine.

None of my ex, or current, "sig. other" were interested in maths stuff. Although one was a maths teacher for high school level but still not into computers or primes or the other stuff here. Of course we have other interests outside of this place. I think it is good to have some things that we do by ourselves and other things we can share. Balance is the key.

As Paul says, it is indeed my husband. I assumed that Flatlander intended this thread to be about our "significant others" (spouse/partner/boy- or girlfriend), though your extending it to other family members is a good idea in my opinion because it lets more people here take part.:smile:

The only complaint I have ever received from my wife is when the winter is turning into summer and most of my computers are still working as extra heaters...

"Luckily" I only have my slow laptop now to do any computations so no worries about the extra heat. :cool: Otherwise she has always been supportive and happy for me being happy on some discoveries.

I had no time to ask her, in the few minutes..LOL!

My wife thinks I'm nuts. I've told her that she can only blame herself for marrying me! :smile:

She does not like me running stuff on her computer. It isn't so much the principle of that, but that her computer has a really noisy fan and were I to run anything on it, it gets really loud. I just haven't done anything about the fan.

When it comes to technology, she isn't very computer savvy (doesn't use f-keys or control keys) and trying to teach her anything can be frustrating.

We have enough in common that we are not complete opposites.
