I'm at ~55K, one prime so far for low weight k: 1296*2020^52931-1

unconnected 2020-01-31 12:50

Almost at 60K, no new primes. VBCurtis, there are no candidates for k=1968 in sieve file, did you knock this k out?

VBCurtis 2020-01-31 17:11

I did, found two primes for it. I did not report here because the machine that found them overheated, and hasn't been booted up successfully since so I don't have specific n values.

Sierp base 2020 complete to 25K. 21 k's at 10K - 6 k's found prime for 10K-25K = 15 k's remaining. Base released except k=12, 402, and 892. K's remaining:
12
138
255
259
291
390
402
430
471
474
615
684
738
874
892

R2020 primes for 1968: 46193 and 48526.

My desktop is functioning, but still runs hot. I'm slowly finishing to 50k on R2020. Likely another 4-6 days.

unconnected 2020-02-27 11:01

Two more primes for R2020:
419*2020^63826-1
776*2020^66346-1
I'll going to stop at n=70k.

VBCurtis 2020-03-19 04:48

R2020 finally made it to 50k on my end, 70k including unconnected's work.
Primes from 40k-50k:
1968 46193
1035 47247
1968 48526 (bummer, repeat)
There were 38 k's left at 40k. I took out two, while unconnected took out three. 33 k's remain at 70k.
Not continuing at present; I have a couple other loose ends to finish up on other projects before I continue this effort. The sieve file is a few posts up in this thread if anyone wants to take on a 5k or 10k block.

unconnected 2020-03-19 05:45

I'm stopped at n=70k, one more prime: 788*2020^67011-1

VBCurtis 2020-03-19 14:51

Whoops! "I'm going to stop" doesn't mean "I stopped". Whew, I'm glad you noticed my mistake, and also glad you found another prime!

R9 k=386 and 744 tested to n=25K, no primes found, see post https://mersenneforum.org/showpost.php?p=490301&postcount=663

S12 k<1143 (3rd CK) tested to 25K, see https://mersenneforum.org/showpost.php?p=490354&postcount=665, these primes were found:

1057*12^690+1
1057*12^1072+1
1057*12^1522+1
563*12^4020+1
1052*12^5715+1
1057*12^6514+1
1057*12^6826+1
1057*12^7438+1

no primes found for k = 885, 911, 976, 1041

R12 k=1132 tested to n=21760, no primes (see post https://mersenneforum.org/showpost.php?p=490302&postcount=664), 1037*12^6281-1 is prime

Update the status file for:

SR8, R9: k<=1024
S12: k<=1143 (the 3rd CK)
R12: k<=1288 (the 3rd CK)

SR8 skipped the cube k's and the k's having covering set {3, 5, 13} (i.e. for S8, k == 47, 79, 83, 181 mod 195; for R8, k == 14, 112, 116, 148 mod 195)
SR9 skipped the square k's and the k's having covering set {2, 5} (i.e. k == 41, 49 mod 80)

(this is for (k*b^n+-1)/gcd(k+-1,b-1), however, you can ignore the k's such that gcd(k+-1,b-1) is not 1, e.g. for S8, you can ignore the k's == 6 mod 7)
