Do you have a preference for time format?

See here for some background.

I prefer 24 hour format, but it seems that we can't select individually our preference. Any choice will affect all users. The current format uses AM/PM.

What it your preference?

I voted for AM/PM to match the clock on my desktop, but I'm not that fussed.
(For 24hr clocks, convert into shilling and pence and throw away the shilling, right? I'll have to get a metal detector and find some old coins.)

According to the clock on this Mac, the time is now 20:12:57

My preference differs in different contexts. Hence, my vote for "something else".

I prefer the 24-hour format in the lower right corner time display on my screen, but sometimes I like the AM/PM distinction in other places, and sometimes I don't care.
thanks tells me what time zone you're in which is the one I learned is used in a part of the UK, where my sisters ex is from.
Cuurently I am in UTC+1 because I'm on a busniess trip to Brno. At home I would be in UTC. Tjhis laptop's time is set to display my home time, not necessarily my local time.

UK time is presently GMT which , for all intents and purposes, is the same as UTC. In a few months it will be BST, which is essentially UTC+1.

Time is complicated if you look into it in any detail.

The poll has no closing date but if it was to close now then, with a super majority of 73%, 24 hour clock wins easily.

Are 30 votes enough to make a decision of this magnitude?

:mike:

I want it based upon my current TZ.
Are 30 votes enough to make a decision of this magnitude?
I haven't voted yet so if I do would 31 votes be enough?

Actually I don't know the answer. Are there forum visitors that only visit occasionally that might not have seen this yet, and care enough to bother to vote? Perhaps leave it for another few days, or a week, and see how the figures have changed.

Is that not an option?

All times are UTC. The time now is 14:36.
