After a lot of heavy lifting from bchaffin and Batalov, we have now come to a c172 on line 2617:
2229348552361822129355877431354933637944777944345113399577912185681707793442268713514615675586421258420770429669349552195250785917635169750211125857968489791489287723679679
We have run a lot of ECM on this, so it should have a really nice split.
I just see that yoyo@home has finished 5000@85e7.

Time for GNFS - reserving 25M-26M

bchaffin 2011-01-23 01:25

I'll take 26M-35M.

EdH 2011-01-23 02:17

I'll try 36M-37M. . .

That was silly - I meant 35M-36M.

Put me down for 35-37, then. I'll have two machines churn away for awhile and see what shows up. . .

We usually leave all posts there, so there's an easily visible record of everything. I don't see any reason to change that standard, especially since, as you mentioned, it drops the team sieve down the list. I'll go ahead and undelete those posts for now.

Hmmm.... OK, should be no problem do 24-25M additionally to my original reservation.

Quick question
. . . Sieve with 15e on algebraic side from Q=25M to 90M for about 180 million relations. . .
Does "on algebraic side" mean an additional switch?

I used:
gnfs-lasieve4I15e -a 4788_2617.poly -o 4788_2617.rels -f 35000000 -c 1000000
That line looks fine - the -a means it sieves on the algebraic side.

Thanks! I just happened upon that information in another thread, too. I guess I "a"ccidentally got it right.

I'm not sure where switches can be found. Is there a document somewhere, or a switch to show switches?
