Viewing American Idol leads to eternal damnation?
 

I think it is. A year or so ago, one of the preachers at my church stated that he's finished watching American Idol when the Hollywood portion starts, and I'm thinking to myself,"Why are you stating this stuff from the pulpit, you moron? You oughtta be ashamed of yourself."

Of course, considering the forum, this might end up being a one post thread, but hearing my mom shriek at bad singing brought it all back. Have some compassion, you at-the-moment horrible woman.

By the same token, I think most hardcore atheists should be banned from the forum, since they're only Gods in their own minds.

I suppose you might describe me as a "hardcore atheist" in that
I'm not averse to a bit of porn.
I do acknowledge that the few "moral principles" I have left emanate
partly from a sort of Christian upbringing.
As for being a god in my own mind, I hope I have some merits, but
I have also been fortunate to meet a number of people who are
better at some things than me. Many on this forum for example:smile:
