TF: Wd2: 00000000
Hi,
I've TFd assigned MP with a self-built 2511 mprime, however, at the end I spotted this: [Work thread Nov 30 20:32] M79373183 no factor from 2^67 to 2^68, Wd2: 00000000 Usually, Wd2 looks more like a hash, but here it is all-zeros. Might I have missed something during compilation, a preprocessor define possibly ? Also, lines like this were printed each time I started such self-built software: [Comm thread Nov 30 19:27] PrimeNet error 7: Invalid parameter [Comm thread Nov 30 19:27] parameter ss: Invalid int value/precision '' [Comm thread Nov 30 19:27] Visit http://mersenneforum.org for help. [Comm thread Nov 30 19:27] Will try contacting server again in 70 minutes. Looks like curl issue, but I'm not sure. Any ideas ? Thanks, - |
You cannot use a self-built Prime95 to submit results.
|
but it did:
You cannot use a self-built Prime95 to submit results.
Correction: Because the distributed source code omits the security module, self-built prime95's submissions will have a security hash of 00000000, which lowers the GIMPS system's protection against faked result messages, but does not necessarily invalidate the report.

the same applies to mlucas results, but still they are acceptable, aren't they ? Also, msft's CUDA code doesn't have security code (AFAIK), yet still LL results obtained with it are visible in the database.
Would the lack of the security code be also a reason for the "PrimeNet error 7" message ? |
the same applies to mlucas results, but still they are acceptable, aren't they ?
Who'd bother faking an mlucas TF result message -- right?

Superb! then the messages from the OP are no issue :)
