6) Is it a food item?
6) Is it a food item?
No.
Sort of. All major parts in it are acquired from (or otherwise require) soil. (for more information, you'll have to ask a more specific question )
(you may ask the next question)
I was mistaken in my thinking of what exactly "soil" is. Correction: One major part usually requires soil. Another does not directly involve soil. I'm not saying whether there are exactly two major parts.

Just a few suggestions for whoever has the question.
Establish uniqueness - Is there one or many?
If many, are they all the same / are we looking for a specific instance?
By requiring "soil" are we talking about bricks and mortar or similar construction materials? However there's got to be more to it than just that.
How big is it? backyard barbecue, house or interstate highway/ Hoover dam?

Thanks.
I guess you're not currently taking part directly so:

7) Is it (normally) intended for the use of the general public?

Mini-Geek 2010-10-31 20:10
7) Is it (normally) intended for the use of the general public?
Somewhat. Anyone can buy one, but not everyone is able to use it well.
(Edit: you can ask the next question)

Brian-E 2010-10-31 22:20

8) When someone buys one, can they reasonably carry it home there and then?

Mini-Geek 2010-10-31 22:25
8) When someone buys one, can they reasonably carry it home there and then?
Yes.
Somewhat. Anyone can buy one, but not everyone is able to use it well.
(Edit: you can ask the next question)
On the off chance that this is a gun, please be aware that in civilised countries, not just anyone can buy one.

Admittedly unlikely with the mention of some parts requiring soil, but some guns do have wooden bits.

I sense an idea for a new discussion in the soap box. :uncwilly:
Still, I'm sure Mini-Geek's aware of this particular cultural difference.

Back to business:
9) Is it used for entertainment?
