I have to say that both of the preceding odometer readings must have taken a great deal of foresight and some very precise setup to get the trip count to line up with the main readout.

Ah, I see.

On another note, I am almost to top 50 LL-DC for the last year, with 3.8 THz/days done, most of it done only in the last three months.

I just passed 300k for my old car, I planned every time (at 100k, 200k, 300k) that I will stop on the side and manually push the car as a celebration, but every time I forget and realize few km after, when it does not make any sense...

OTOH, I believe that 444... photo is taken from a movie (a frame)... otherwise, Oliver did not seems the crazy person to me, up to now... At 120 the car goes two km per minute, or one km per 30 seconds, or 100m each 3 seconds. That display only held 3 seconds, at that speed!

That was either taken by somebody else, or the car was running on a wide, empty highway, otherwise Oliver boy, you must be insane to play with the photo camera at that speed! Trust the older guy! I also drive very fast (I paid 4 radars in the last 10 years, and this is in Thailand, if you know what I mean, where everybody drives by their own rules!), but I can not do anything else during driving. No smoking, no reading the newspapers, no talking to the telephone... Before going into the car, I smoke a cigarette and turn my mobile to "I am driving, I will call you back in 10 minutes". No chance to take photos or make movies during driving (except the one automatically done by the gps, which can see outside the car, not inside).

Yes there was a bit of thought ahead. IIRC the setting of the trip was done with in ~1 km (+/- 0.5) of the spot the photo was taken, but on the other side of the highway. Both during the daily commute.

In any case, well done!
