For what it is worth, in the last 2 weeks, that number has stepped up 2 times. It is now 24,212,801
Sweet! Were they poached?
Edit: Yep, the first one was poached.
Edit2: Here's the list of assignments below the current minimum.

Yeah, the other one was a poach too, and the assignment is only 11 days old

"Sergey Nosov", in both cases.

I think the smallest one of them, about an year old and the work not yet started, that one was poached by myself two or three months ago. The assignee did not start the job yet, nor to this date. I don't give a dime, he had enough time to check and get it out from his list.

You're missing a bit of data though, that exponent had been assigned to Anonymous over a year and a half ago, who reported it 96.8% complete on 4/9, and completed it with a bad result on 4/19. It is likely it was 'poached'(started) quite a while before it was reassigned.

The only way I could see would be if the poacher started before the ANON/bad was turned in, but even then he shouldn't be poaching.

I agree, I was only pointing out that people feel less 'stigma' over poaching a year and a half aged exponent, where you made it a point to say it was only 11 days old. Since a new system would take 4-10 days for a DC(2-5 for OC'd ones) and an older one up to 20+, this assignment was probably grabbed quite a while before ANON finished it, but was not quick enough to beat it. EDIT: Kind of like the other one, which was 6 months older and also held by a ANON.
But I'm not holding my breath for the last. There were 12 under 40M last fall and still 9. Some details missing below to protect the innocent (not me).

For the first 7: Stage,% did NOT change.
Second last reassigned and up to 40.10% - estimated 21 days to go
Last one up by 0.10%
Only the third one did NOT post an update.

Less than 23,000,000 exponents remain with no known factors :)
Edit: Below 1B

I do not think so. According to the GIMPS Visualization Tool, six months ago there were 23,103,491 exponents whose Mersenne numbers were not factored.

Master Petrw1 understands this. He was calling me crazy :drama:
However, I was just pointing out that out of ~55M candidates, ~32M have factors known, eliminating ~55% of the possible prime candidates. LL testing has further reduced this, but I dont have the stats for that.

If we maintain 6 months for 100k exp's we only have 115 years to go ;)
