He means he hands them out to people here who can do a quick LL. (I was doing one such expo if you go back through our PMs about the low DCs.)
I didn't say it did.

I apologize if my interest in milestones caused any discomfort. By not publishing any "telling" details I was trying to keep it discreet.

In my opinon, it would be OK showing who hold candidates for several years.

And, further, if they have held them for so long, would they actually care if they get DC credit rather than LL?

Countdowns to millstones

You don't speed up a comet by mopping up the dust on its tail.

When will each brand new LL assigment be TFed to 72+ ???

When this simple milestone is reached, and there is no reason for it not to be tomorrow, there may be more incentive for folk to FINISH LLtests. (Like I do, with the patience George clearly warns is needed).

We are effectively already there.

Reserve a candidate from PrimeNet which needs LL. It will more than likely be TFed to at least 72. And more than likely P-1'ed well.

Yep
As a "smarter than the average bear" participant,
I know what I want and where to get it.

But I am giving consideration to the great unwashed.

What is happening with the thousands of TF assignments 50-60M?
**** all as far as I can see.

David

PS where is "there"?
(See Paul's "Yes" thread in the lounge)

Then you are dumber than the average human.
But I'm not holding my breath for the last. There were 12 under 40M last fall and still 9.

Oh, come on. Let's be honest.
Required deference to Cheesehead aside, I question why those who hold first time tests are allowed to hold them for years.
Since they are 'first time' tests. One could choose to do a simple recheck of the same number early.

davar55 2012-04-28 00:35

As of today, GIMPS is 453 = (27+426) LL tests from proving
all mersenne prime exponents < 26000000 have been found,
and are 42 in number.

(Then there's a bigger gap to M43*).
Then you are dumber than the average human.
Is this the right room for an argument?

You spend a lot of time linking to UTube videos.

Do you make money from doing this?
