Sometimes I think it would be nice if the GIMPS website had a feature that allowed users to message one another as not everyone reads the forum.

The bad residue was produced by prime95 29.5 which is known to have "windows" of vulnerability where a single bit flip can corrupt a result. |
Nope; both seem to be stalled.
I noticed that a couple of people threw some TF and P-1 at those numbers this month to try to kill them. |
And then there was one

It looks like a poacher may have taken out one of the last holdouts.

Just to note it here for all the milestone watchers:
George has turned off expiration for all Cat 0, Cat 1, and Cat 2 assignments. This is due to the COVID-19 outbreak and the fact that many machines are not accessible or have been turned off in closed facilities. Several of these machines are known good producers and have been turning in Cat 0 and Cat 1 assignments routinely. Forum moderates have confirmed several cases of this through PM's with users. DON'T POACH!! Milestones will fall soon enough. There are a lot of cycles out there that have been invested that will payoff as people return to work and school, etc. Let's not waste them by poaching. Cat 3 and Cat 4 assignments should not be an issue, as they have months available to them. Please see this thread: https://www.mersenneforum.org/showthread.php?t=25428 :uncwilly: |
Three left as of now to get to the 91M firsttest minor milestone. Aurashift has two that have not checked in for days or weeks. Not a poaching invitation, just an observation. No idea if aurashift has access to those systems now to nudge them to finish.
