Must have been gremlins in the system... I didn't change anything, honest. I'm glad it's back to normal for you now. |

I'm glad it's back to normal for you now.
The entire page had one background that was light grey at the edges and progressed to darker grey towards the centre. I refreshed a couple of times but it remained like that. Anyhow after sdbardwick posted, I checked it again and then it was fine again.

You have a saint in your evil lair! He is sabotaging you!
You have a saint in your evil lair! He is sabotaging you!
There is more than one saboteur in here, I am sure. But I was using my VPN so unless they precomputed the parameters to break the DH exchange then I doubt they can MITM me. Anyhow, I've been using the 2048 bit prime for DH exchanges forever, so such computing ability doesn't yet exist (barring some incredible theory advances) to crack the DH exchange.

Yeah, but did you pick a unique prime? Lots of VPN software work off a fixed list; those have been compromised already. https://weakdh.org/ |

By comparison the 1024 bit primes are a cake walk.

You do, of course, conduct yourself such that you assume that all communications are known? |
You do, of course, conduct yourself such that you assume that all communications are known?
Sometimes we just gotta roll along and not get too paranoid. 2048 bit DH and some 256 bit AES across a private VPN, yeah I think I'm okay until at least tomorrow. More likely Mini-me will be the one to dob me in, the little bugger.
