|
Lennart has reported 7 primes for this project so far this year!
The 12 primes reported for this project so far this year exceed the 10 (or 9 depending on which year you assign 227968*5^245975-1) primes reported for this project in 2008. |
60722*5^412259+1
On the plus side (Sierpinski) of the house we have a new prime, found by Steve Martin of Seti.USA.

Another prime for Lennart...his 14th this year for SR5!
170446*5^468081-1 Congrats! |
This time an announcement for myself. Looks like the smallest k of the whole project was finished:
254*5^911506-1 is prime http://primes.utm.edu/primes/page.php?id=95347 Lets see what the officials have to say about it. |
Congrats Lars on a monster top-100 prime!
For historical reference and accounting purposes both here and at CRUS for Riesel base 25, I should state here that this prime actually knocks out k=158750 for bases 5 and 25 because: 254*5^4-1 is prime 1270*5^3-1 is prime 6350*5^2-1 is prime 31750*5^1-1 is prime -- and now since n must be >= 1 -- 158750*5^911502-1 is prime -- and finally for CRUS -- 158750*25^455751-1 is prime Congrats again! :-) Gary |

 Oops my fault. You are right.
But the wrong one would have been a real finding.:wink: |
