New PRP for k=90527
As some of you have already noticed there is a new prime found.
http://primes.utm.edu/primes/page.php?id=93373 The prime was reported on the 19.6 at 20:51 and the automatic blocked all unhandled values for k=90527 from that time on. So far so good. But then there was a small problem that prevented the automatic from reporting the prime to me also. So the finding went unnoticed until the time when Joe_O asked me why there are no more tests for k=90527 in the queue. Sorry for delaying the finding more the needed but at least no resources were wasted.:redface: It was found by Patrice Salah from the Netherlands. His Nickname is Bold_Seeker and he is part of the Dutch Power Cows. As we are very sure that the prime will be confirmed by prime pages we already have removed the k from all queues. The sieve file is also already changed and ready for download. Let the party begin: :jokedrum::jokedrum::party::bow wave::bow wave::groupwave: By the way now it is time for Primegrid to find the next prime. All other distribution channels have found at least one. We had some from manual reservation then from llrnet and the latest one from prpnet. |
Great find!
I notice that this project is on an older version of PRPNet. Who is maintaining the servers? I highly recommend upgrading to 3.3.2. |
Problem with the server is that I need many additional libraries which are only available as sourcecode for my quite old linux distri and I have no clue which additional dependencies I will face when I start to build them(My first try brought up 2 more libs). I had planned to make a complete reinstall of the server but at the time I wanted to make this (my holiday) I was not in the right mindset for such a job. So I thought it was not worth it to face the risk to manage it to even break the full backup of the server. ( Yes I was that unconcentrated at the time)
I hope the next holiday will be better. So it is on the agenda with very high Prio but there is a "real life"(TM). |

The advantages of 3.3.x are numerous and I'm sure that you and the other users will enjoy them once you get to that point. |
The Prime is accepted now.

Fantastic! I think I'm going to try some sieveing now, to see how it performs with the second heaviest k removed. |
Splendid!
Many congrats to Patrice Salah and all PSP participants for this nice success!

It appears we need to make a front page posting about this great find on our main website tweakers.net. In any case the cows are having a party as well :) |
I'm just a bit curious. On this page: http://primes.utm.edu/primes/page.php?id=93373
it still says "Verification status (*):External". Is it still under verification or is it verified now? |

So yes, the prime is confirmed! |
