I think I bit off more than I can chew. I thought my previous sequence 826422 would finish up shortly so I reserved another sequence 828640. Now both appear to have a slight downward trend. There is no way I can complete both before I leave town in about a week.
So I am releasing 828640 back into the pool. It is currently at a c84 (2^3 * c83) even though it has hit size 86. My other sequence is at size 99 with a c94. Perhaps someone else would like to play with this if I can pick another that will get to size 100 in a short time. DB is up to date with both sequences. |
RichD, I'll take them both to 100 digits.

I am working on another program to advance several sequences. I am playing with, but do not intend to reserve the following line of numbers, since I don't intend to take them through completion:
838236, 838248, 838320, 838392, 838428, 838516, 838584, 838602 If anyone takes any of these, be sure to see if I've added a few lines recently, to minimize duplication of effort. When you reserve it, I'll drop it from my testing sequences. I will try to keep on top of checking for reservations. If there is a problem with my tinkering with these in this manner, let me know and if possible, provide an alternative, please. As to my program, when I work out a few bugs, I'll post a thread about it, to check for interest. Basically, it is a win32 GUI to run aliqueit (almost) totally autonomously through a set of numbers, in a similar fashion to aliperl, but (hopefully) better. |

Two days ago I put aliqueit on one of my computers and tested different binaries with some of the unreserved exponents on this range.
I was a bad boy  and didn't want to reserve the exponents as I thought they would take more resources than I wanted use. However, that does not seem to be the case. I put the results to the factordb as they came, and the following sequences are now at 100 digits or more: 835080, 835408, 835860, 836190, 836244, 836948 Maybe I do the right thing this time and reserve the next sequences I'd like to play with: 836580, 836694, 836796, 836940 |

My work on AliWin is progressing well. I reserved 844536 so I could test out some things, since 844536 was only at 80 digits. AliWin worked so well, that 844536 advanced ten digits before I even started AliWin. That's impressive, if I do say so myself.
I appreciate help, but this time it was counter-productive. I suppose it means that I'll have to randomly grab an unreserved number anonomously to do minor tests. I hate to do it that way. Actually, Mini-Geek, can you set me up, as you did before, for the last line of new numbers? 849072, 849288, 849312, 849654, 849660, 849744, 849810, 849870, 849876 I will drop from this list, any that get reserved, or reserve myself any that I intend to complete. I do not expect to be doing as much work as before on these numbers, but if MW runs these up for me, I may have to go the random route. Thanks everyone. |

Was this sarcastic, meaning that a mystery worker advanced it 10 digits and threw off your tests? Obviously AliWin can't bring it up 10 digits without running.
Mini-Geek, can you set me up, as you did before, for the last line of new numbers? 849072, 849288, 849312, 849654, 849660, 849744, 849810, 849870, 849876
Yep, no problem. I can neither confirm nor deny that AliWin accomplished this task. All I can confirm is that when I finally got AliWin to where I wanted to run it, the number had been advanced from 80 to 90 digits, and the factors were labeled as prp's, so they were relatively new to the db. AliWin is designed to be almost 100% autonomous. Could I have gotten too close to 100% and it ran itself while I was away?
Yep, no problem. (but to be technically accurate, previously 10metreh added the notice and I removed it later, so I didn't set up the notice for you before...ah, pedantry )
Indeed, I had forgotten it was 10metreh that originally added the note (LIFO). However, you were now the holder of the quote. So, it would be more proper to ask you for it, than to ask 10metreh to raid your post. But, thank you for the correction. I do believe in accuracy. And, thanks for setting me up with the notice this time. I probably won't be doing a lot with them, but I may just need to advance several a line or two to test things out. And, who knows, maybe they will race up as 844536 did. All help is welcome, yes? |
And, who knows, maybe they will race up as 844536 did. All help is welcome, yes?
Yes, but I much prefer help that participates with the forum and communicates reservations and whatnot so nobody steps on each other's toes (so to speak). Would save a good bit of trouble, confusion, and duplicate work for everyone, at the cost of a tiny amount of time to the mystery worker. |
