S988
1 Attachment(s)
Not many large primes reported lately, so lets fix that.
730*988^58605+1 is prime! S988 now has 9 k's to go. Testing about half complete to 100k. |
S991
I would like to reserve S991 to 100K

Taking R712, R747, and R753 to n=100000.
Taking S564, S716, S980, S507, S536, S945, S811, S1009, S789, S634, S746, S878, S788, S942, and S761 to n=100000. Maybe one of the 4k conjectures will yield a prime... |
S1027 and S955
I would like to reserve S1027 and S955 to start the testing to 10000.
|
Taking S754 to n=100000.
|
191*770^81307+1 is prime!
This is the first prime I found testing the 3k conjectures to n=100000. |
1 Attachment(s)
S770 is now done to n=100000 and released. One prime found and reported. It is now a 2k conjecture.
|
113*942^56965+1 is prime! This 4k is now a 3k. The range is not completed yet.
38*980^60283+1 46*1009^58772+1 are all prime! That makes all of these 3k conjectures. I've still got a ways to go with my reservation but it is nice to see my luck improve. 167*716^71209+1 2*788^72917+1 Are also prime thus making more 3k conjectures. 246*1009^80266+1 is prime, making it a 2k conjecture. Still working... 244*945^85970+1 183*712^91958-1 69*634^92329+1 are prime. That makes all of these 3k'ers. Still working. 294*1009^92571+1 is prime! I have a few more tests, but I don't expect any more primes in this range. Note that this makes S1009 a 1ker. |

138 primes found - 358 remain Results emailed - Base released |
1 Attachment(s)
S754 completed to n=100000 and released. No primes found. I'm rather disappointed that for all of the 3k conjectures that I took from n=50000 to n=100000 that I found only one prime.

S871, S667
I would like to start the search on S871 and S667. They are listed in the condensed table of conjectures as not started, although they are not listed on the reservations page. Is there a reason for this? They have a fairly small ck (compared with some I have searched), and over 2/3 of candidates are removed from b-1 factorization.
|
Gary normally doesn't list a base until it is started.
You should see a "Just started" reservation pop in the near future. Have fun. |
22*900^252407-1 is prime!
I wasted ~200 cpu-days for sieving 250K-1M to 266T
Ouch. But very nice prime! When working over a range that large, it would probably be worth it to break off sieving to test in two or more ranges. |
A couple of more notes on this latest R900 prime:
1. It is the largest prime ever to prove a Riesel conjecture. 2. It is the 3rd largest prime ever for CRUS. |
Congrats on the prime.

I'm fine, but there are some things that really trigger the pain. Sitting for too long on a computer is one of them. Driving is another. Fortunately my wife is a physical therapist and has helped me understand the problem and what I can do to avoid it in the future. It will probably be a few more days before the worst of it is over. |
