Taking S676 to n=200000.

When I complete my current reservations, all 1 k Sierpinski conjectures will be tested to n=200000. Unfortunately I've been completely stumped looking for larger primes.

There are 12 unreserved 1 k Riesel conjectures that are not tested to n=200000 yet. Hopefully someone will get those tested and prove some conjectures while doing it.

Firejuggler,

This submission has problems:

1. Please reserve an even k-range such as k=5000-10000 in the future. It makes it easier to show on the pages.

2. Please observe what k's you are searching. You have attached multiple primes for k's that already have primes in your previous search up to n=10K for the entire base. The first 5 of them are shown below. There are many more. This makes it difficult for me to sort out what is correct.

Primes for k's already found prime (previous prime)
7529*592^10027-1 (n=4567)
6192*592^10177-1 (n=8158)
9209*592^10564-1 (n=4273)
6848*592^11196-1 (n=3303)
7655*592^12640-1 (n=8079)
[and many more]

Because this is so problamatic for me to spend any more time on and makes me question the accuracy of your testing methods, I am going to request that you re-run the range before I can reflect it on the pages. I will also need all of the residues. If you do so, please test up to k=10K. I will unreserve the base until I hear otherwise from you.

Edit: To make it easier, I have removed all n-values <10K and all k's that already have primes for n<10K from the sieve file.

Gary

You take all the bases with mostly composites so that TheCount and others can take all the bases with mostly primes.

Not for n=50K-100K. I've seen it for n=50K-200K. I've also seen 3 k's at n=50K proven by n=100K maybe a couple of times. Do it!

I completed the 1k conjectures I had reserved to n=200000. No primes found outside the one I posted a number of weeks ago.

I've sent the residues to Gary, but am missing about 22 hours of results (around 400 tests) due to my own stupidity.

gd_barnes 2013-12-28 08:32

I did not receive any residues for R736 so I'll leave that one open at n=150K for now. The few results missing on all the other bases are OK.

Side note: Due to other searches on 2k, 3k, & 4k bases, there are now two more 1k bases at n=100K: S678 and S864.

I have a sieve file, but I must not have loaded that base into the server as I don't see any residues for it. Go ahead and unreserve it.

Primality testing proofs for firejuggler's prime finds attached.
I've started sieving for the 74 k's in range 5650<k<10,000 from n=10k to n=25k as per page: Riesel conjecture base 592 remain
I'd like to reserve these k's up to 25k against all except firejuggler.
I'll start PRP testing in about a month. If firejuggler can send in the residuals would save me the effort.

@Gary: For the primes already found do we want to test for smaller possible primes? i.e. worth re-testing these k's?
Maybe you don't care about smaller primes and only need the residuals for validation.

I'm so confused. Please just start all k>5650 over starting from n=10K. I do not trust any of Firejuggler's results for k=5650-(whatever) to n=25K because he had some k's with primes in the n=10K-25K range where the same k's also had primes for n<10K.

Regardless, this is a small enough conjectured base, please test ALL k>5650 to n=25K. (not only k=5650-10K) It takes way too much time for me to administer such small k-ranges. This is not a huge-conjectured base. If you don't have the resources and patience to test all k>5650 to n=25K, please leave it for someone else.

I will wait for your response to this before reserving it for you.

One more thing: I do not need residues for anything n<25K. Primes and k's remaining are all that I need.

Thanks,
Gary

Very well. I will test ALL k>5650, n=10k to 25K.
I chose this base because it is small and because I want to get experience testing low n.
