I'm wondering, what is an average turnaround time for a range of work? I can't always be at the computer to set it and let it run (electric bill, always high) but I want to do the work in good time.
Speed is not an issue here. Except for the team efforts (e.g. R6 / S6) where long turnaround times might (not very probably) result in unnecessary work being done by others. Apart from that, take your time. There are reservations which have been running for months, years even. Just let Gary know you're still working at it every once in a while. I think he'll ask for a status update when people have been silent for three months or so. |
R619 is complete to n=100K; 1 prime was found for n=50K-100K shown below; R619 is now a 1ker ; base released.
I'd like to run R619 for a while. (619 is San Diego's area code ) Can I start with reserving to 150K? (I've sieved to 250K and will post it when I will be releasing.) |

Can I start with reserving to 150K? (I've sieved to 250K and will post it when I will be releasing.)
Sounds good. It would be nice to prove one of the bases where k=6 is the only k remaining at n>=100K. There are 10 of them total; 7 on the Riesel side. |
S720 is complete to n=100K; 1 prime was found for n=50K-100K shown below; S720 is now a 1ker ; base released.
Prime: 90*720^99529+1 This was a rather remarkable feat. 2 bases in a row that I've tested for n=50K-100K...2 top-5000 primes at n>95K that made both of the bases 1 kers! This last one came with only 34 tests remaining in a 3525 line sieve file. :george: |
S748 is complete to n=100K; 1 prime was found for n=50K-100K shown below; S748 is now a 1ker ; base released.
Prime: 27*748^88373+1 Missed a top-5000 prime by < 30 digits. This is the 4th consecutive 2k base that I've worked on that has found exactly 1 prime for n=50K-100K leaving 1k bases in all 4 cases. |

R789 tested n=25k-100K
74*789^80808-1 is prime 4k's remaining Results emailed - Base released Reserving S872 to n=100K |
S805 is complete to n=100K; no primes found for n=50K-100K; 2 k's still remain; base released.

S859 is complete to n=100K; no primes found for n=50K-100K; 2 k's still remain; base released.
All 2k bases are now tested to n>=100K. |
I'd like to run S720 for 100-150K.

I probably shouldn't have started with such a large effort there. I have about 150-160 results, but due to the lack of time that I have had to run PFGW, I haven't been able to accomplish much. I think I'll work on some smaller efforts here - sorry about that.
Results attached. |
