Ah, I didn't realise that .abcd format wasn't acceptable. Ran the script in .prp format, much better. Knocked out about 1.5% of the total candidates, which is nothing to sneeze at :)
Alright, good.
Should I make running the hiddenPowers script part of my routine when testing new bases?
I'd recommend it. It doesn't always help, (especially if you're running very few k's, because there's less chance that one of them will have algebraic factors; but if it does have algebraic factors it's more likely to stay in for longer since it's effectively lower weight, so it's not as low of a chance as you might think) but it's usually worth running when it does, especially if each test takes a while. It'll help if any of your k's are squares (Riesel only) or cubes (Riesel or Sierp) or some other cases. To save the step of converting to .prp format if it's not needed, you can first run just "hiddenPowers.pl r378.txt" and then if there's anything it can do, it'll tell you so, (just like it told you this time, just without the sieve file no "removed x line(s)" is printed; no output would mean that it didn't find anything) and then if it can remove something, you can convert the sieve file and run it with that.
Added 60*304^n+1 tested by me to n=100K
For all you high-n searchers, this is a good one. With a weight of 228, it is now the lowest weight 1k base at CRUS.

I'll bite. Taking S304 to 200K+.
