Please forgive me for this David.

But are you familiar with the concept of a vacuum?
I'll forgive you if you'll forgive me:

I know what a Hoover is if that's what you mean.
Are you sure you didn't intend to stutter "INN efficient"?
Ignore davieddy, that's the easiest way.
Do I take it you didn't appreciate my self-deprecating jest?
Not by me ... but we already have a dedicated series of threads in Soapbox for discussing such things.
It can be argued that jasong is on-topic in post #30 -- he's replying to post #1 in this very thread.

But this thread's title and choice of subforum placement by the OP seem to have ruled out the Fed itself as a proper topic here.

Suggests the question: Under what circumstances can a direct response to post #1 of a thread be off-topic for that thread??
Suggests the question: Under what circumstances can a direct response to post #1 of a thread be off-topic for that thread??
IMO, it depends...

Does the response contribute to the overall debate? Not all responses do.

IMO, one should be comfortable bringing forward an issue for debate, so long as one debating the issue is comfortable doing so.
Does non-contributory = off-topic ?
Does non-contributory = off-topic ?
IMO, yes.

Others may disagree.

Love you both, and you've saved me from resorting to using my PM box, which is restricted to 11 posts in total.

Who is ruining this thread? (The broken record 12" version)
Hey All...

This thread is the re-opening of the open debate between those who think we're TFing too far, and those who think we're doing OK.

For the record, I would very much appreciate it if discussion was civil, sincere and meaningful.

Does saying that make my innate curmudgeonliness too 'tranparent', do you think?/QUOTE]
I would consult a tran parent if I were you.
