By 90M it might be time to go to 75 bits.

Welcome back David...
We missed you....
THX Chris, but are you implying my remark was intended as a joke?

And release me from these intolerable posting constraints for Christ's sake.

I might even regain my SOH.

OK guys. You know I wasn't trying to offend you personally, and thankyou for the response to what was an intentionally provocative post.

However, you will readily concede that we:
1) All know our way around here backwards
2) Don't expect preferetial treatment

BTW the reason you got 50M exponents so effortlessly late in the day was that our self-appointed supremo cunningly released the batch he had grabbed a couple of hours ago. Monitoring the Primenet summary hourly is my primary claim to an authoratative opinion on these matters (although there are others).

Surely my careful analysis of the TF bit-level in "GPUto72 status" deserves more attention than "Welcome back David...MAN THE LIFEBOATS"

Are you sure you didn't intend to stutter "INN efficient"?

You still don't get it, do you?

In a month or so's time it will dawn on you that we need to get expos to 73 bits as a matter of urgency. I have been pointing this out via my broken record since the days before GPUto72 was created.

The sooner we temporarily abandon the whole idea of 74 bits, the better.

I know this sounds like a lot of "CPU GHz-days" have been wasted by GPUto72, but that's how it is.

If only Chris hadn't refused to listen to me "because I didn't run a GPU".
Now we know who the chatter boxes are! I hope you are all ashamed of yourselves. I know I am.
I realize you were not fishing for sympathy for the devil, but I think I speak for most us if I say that your contribution is exemplary.
Of what, exactly, is another matter
.

I feel mildly embarrassed to be sandwiched between Paul and Ernst, especially considering the vacations I am frequently granted.

I'm sure Bob would find an excuse to argue the toss about that.
I refuse to allow this discussion to digress into another pissing contest.
You are almost succeeding in making me angry.
But, by deduction, does that not also mean that I am also knowledgeable?
A little knowledge is a dangerous thing.
+1 :goodposting:

We however like David, we don't know why, but we in the same time are somehow tired of him requesting other people to work for him (like in "I only do LL, fcuk you TF-ers who do not TF my expos to 85 bits and P-1 them well, before they are assigned to me! (therefore increasing my chance to find a prime)"). (for newcomers, he used to sing this song some time ago, but he changed since he started not to like chalsall ).

And there was Chris and I trying to keep our affair secret.
I'm getting sick of hearing this. Chris seems to think we can and you seem to think we can't. What support do you have that we can't maintain 74 bits?
Wait and see, grasshopper.
I promise it won't be long.
