Double negative?
THX
A concrete case study will help us all!

One GPU? What type?

My core2 2GHz does an unsurprizing 2 GHz days/day on LL.
~60 days per test.
Your effort alone is keeping 480 similar LL workers supplied
with properly TFed expos.

Re your "lower limit" comment, even if no TF had been done,
the time taken would be at most double that for 72 to 73,
and you would be rewarded by finding loads of factors.
As there is a systematic creaming off of long-hanging factors afoot,
your reward is the satisfaction of making a most valuable contribution
to the GIMPS project, and if any of your expos should be prime,
you should receive an acknowledgement!

All I am looking for is 25 others like you to reach 200/day.
George? Chris? GET IT TOGETHER!

I would argue that we do have it together.
I would argue that by trying not to tread on each other's toes,
you are both keeping clear of the region (currently 58M-60M) where it is urgently needed.

Then you are clearly unobservant. 58M and 59M is where most of the current TFing is being done.

200/day to 73?

This is what we all agree is both easily feasible and necessary.

PS The term "wavefront" used to have a clearcut meaning before you started f***** about.
There is no good reason for the GPU-enhanced TF effort to interfere with the natural progress of LL testing.

'KING LEAVE OFF.

By the time the "wave" gets back up to 58M, all the available candidates should be to 73. Probably a good portion of 57M as well.

This could and should have started at ~53M
