I'm about the same age as you. My first thought was: life isn't fair.

During the last few weeks of high school, I got a case of senioritis. Classes were spent playing calculator games, playing cards with friends, and passing on rumors about the bra sizes of cheerleaders. Homework (if completed) was postponed until the last possible minute, and I rarely studied for tests. You were almost certainly less lazy than I was, but I somehow got almost all A's in my last semester of senior year, while you had trouble passing grades 8 and 9.

But maybe life is somewhat fair after all. The lazy attitude from high school carried over through the first part of my college years. College was different, and it took me a while to realize that you can't put in minimal effort and do well. I ended up with a whole bunch of W's (withdrawals) on my transcript, and I now have to do a heavy course load if I want to graduate on time.

sub-forum, how about two more snapshots:

number of threads started
highest ratio of threads to posts

This might be more useful than number of characters typed.

I had some down time, now I'm only about 68th.

It will take some time, considering that I now
put > 10 times as much content into each post
and thread I start.
