What is a GHz-Day

Hello all,[INDENT]Sorry if the answer to this is in another post, but I can't find it in search.

What is a Ghz-day? I assume it is the amount of calculations (theoretical) a specific CPU can perform in a 24HR period, but which CPU? Which architecture? How does that compare with newer i7 etc?

Thanks in advance.
