http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/8604663.stm
A friend of mine worked for a dentist originally from Poland.

A few summers ago the dentist went back to Poland for a family gathering. Several of them got in a van to visit relatives in Italy. With them was Grandma.

While they were in Italy they bought a large area rug.
AND
Grandma died.

They wanted to take her back to Poland for a proper burial but were very nervous about taking a dead body across several European borders.

So they decided to roll her up in the rug and tie the rug to the roof top until they got home.

After one of their lunch stops along they they came back outside to find that someone had STOLEN the rug; with Grandma still inside it.

This is obviously very SAD for the family ... but I can't help wondering what the thieves reaction was when they unrolled the carpet back at their place.

:censored:    :surrender:

:omg:
:never again:

You're right - it is very like an urban legend: http://www.snopes.com/horrors/gruesome/deadgranny.asp. Stranger things have happened.
