Microsoft Flight Simulador
I've been using it constantly since the day after it was released. It fully utilizes the Radeon VII's capabilities. It hits 100% sometimes and its power draw goes up by 250W. It doesn't use the GPU only for video, it is using it for high power calculations too. Even at maximum power draw, I can pause and even minimize the application, but the R7 keeps cranking at 250 to 300 watts.

This simulator, combined with a fast CPU and a R7, is flat amazing. I'm afraid GPUOwl will be taking a back seat for a little while. No pun intended.

Were you already FS-binging before I posted the 200-stories link? I would feel bad about costing the project throughput by tempting members to use their gear for non-GIMPS work. :)

Is that with gpuOwl running in background, or do you kill any such processes when running FS?

Especially R7's, right? No, I just started FS-binging again for the first time in years when FS2020 was released on the 18th.

Oh no, FS2020 gets 100% of the resources. In fact, it has its own copy of Windows that boots from its own SSD drive. When booting from that drive, it is totally dedicated to FS2020 (i7-8700, 32GB RAM, R7, 25 Mb/sec fiber internet connection). No other applications are even loaded. At its peak, FS2020 drives the R7 just as hard as GPUOwl does, and uses all 16GB of its RAM, even when paused and minimized(!). It must be doing much more than just manipulating pixels, because it appears all of its compute power is being utilized. Which is fine by me, kudos to the FS2020 team.

I have to try to compete with your power bill, lol.

P.S. The specified "ideal" internet connection speed for FS2020 is 50 Mb/sec (!).

Twenty year old woman found to be alive after all, by funeral home. "Sources with knowledge of this investigation tell Local 4 that Southfield police allegedly saw her move and breathe and called the fire crews back, but fire crews claim those were the side effects of the medication given to her." Low blow: Sydney's new ferries won't fit under bridges with passengers on top deck | The Guardian

I'm reminded of a classic Looney Tunes Sylvester & Tweety sketch from my childhood, one of the ones that had a little inside joke for any adults who might be watching, in form of a warning sign reading Ducka You Head, Lowla Bridgeada. (Before digging out the link, I had actually misremembered it all these years as being a Daffy Duck cartoon, probably because "Ducka you head" would've been doubly funny as a warning to Daffy.)

I wonder if they could safely add ballast to the ferries to lower them in the water by, say, a foot?
