South Korean soccer team apologizes for filling stadium with sex dolls | NY Post

Note the apology was not for the sex dolls per se, but for not having them practice proper social distancing.
Hmm, clothed, masked, well spaced, I don't see a problem. How strange is it that dolls are even getting masks?!

"I want the people of this nation to feel good," Trump said of his decision to use hydroxychloroquine despite having tested negative for COVID-19. He added, "I've taken it for about a week and a half now, and I’m still here."

Well, heck, if he just wants the people of this nation to feel good, why not legalize pot and send 'em to Dr. Reefer?

Or, legalize opium dens? I'm sure most folks would still be around a week and a half later, and wouldn't care what any highfalutin' doctor or scientist had to say...
Well, heck, if he just wants the people of this nation to feel good ...
He wants the country to be just a facade. It's only the look and feel that matters. What's inside doesn't matter.

That kind of charade can be held for a while, until the rotten core starts to eat everything away from the inside and it all collapses in on itself.

"I don't feel good" is often the news a parent gets that their child is sick, a harbinger of fever or other trouble to come.

Newsflash - for the 99-point-whatever percent of USians not in the Elite Looter class, "The American Dream" has been a facade for decades now. Trump is a symptom of the rotten core, not its cause. Until most of the victims of said multidecadal neoliberal looting operation realize these things with crystal clarity, nothing will change to better their lot, irrespective of whether the occupant of the White House resembles the fictional-fantasy one in The West Wing in being a smooth-talking con artist or is an unapologetic boor as the current one.

We now return our viewers to the previous "Hmmm" programming.

Was involved in a little commenter-tech-discussion on another site related to usage of the html strikethrough/strikeout tag. I illustrated my example using a famous American poem about the nation's beloved pastime (here rendered in BBedit-markup-form, obviously):

…Oh, somewhere in this favoured land the sun is shining bright,
The band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light;
And somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout,
But there is no joy in Mudville—mighty Casey has [strike]struck out[/strike].

(Apologies to the late Mr. Thayer.)
