I knew that and was trying to take the highroad.
You have to take either the high-road, or my-road.
A year ago, Patrick Stewart dressed up in drag to promote his ill-fated sitcom, Blunt Talk. The British star of stage and screen put on a shiny pink dress, a glamorous grey wig and a full face of make-up for his appearance at the Los Angeles screening of the TV comedy, in which he starred as the drinking, drug-taking and philandering news anchor Walter Blunt.
I used to have a sweater which, when pulled over my head, would emit sparks a good few centimetres long. Must have been a good few kV generated. Just as well I wasn't in an explosive atmosphere.
A few dozen kv more likely. Don't handle memory DIMMS doing that! Safe Deposit Boxes Aren’t Safe - The New York Times
“My impression about safe deposit boxes was that it was like you were putting things in Fort Knox,” [Mr. Poniz] said. “Nothing could happen to it.”
Well, you know, there are persisent rumors about whether Fort Knox really has all its alleged gold ... but for some reason the US government resists simply "showing us the gold" that is allegedly there. Of course since the US went off the Au standard in 1971 the gold is not longer key to the Federal Reserve's mission, it's more of a trust-in-government thing.
