D'oh. I've just seen that when I wanted to reduce the range for L1354 (which was already a bit wider than necessary), I actually widened it to 20M-920M !
By the time I saw the mistake, q values had advanced to ~115M... Judging by the projections (received + pending + unsent), the yield should be more than 300M raw relations, for a 31-bit LPs GNFS 163 task. A torture test for filtering, but a sizable waste of electrons... |
Lionel, I think you need to relax and drink a few beers, like they do here in Brazil always on Friday nights...lol
Sorry for not helping you guys but my internet connection doesn't help me here downloading the data of the post-processing jobs. |

I just cancelled most of the extra ones. When computers with those next connect to the server, they will be cancelled in the client. |
L1213
If you haven't grabbed one yet, take L1213. Just let me know once you've downloaded the relations so I can move them offline.
Thanks!
Is there any chance that you can add L 1213 to the postprocessing list on the status page? |
Job is running well it is progressing at about 5% per day (PC runs for 12 hours a day) it is currently up to 19.9 % with 186 hours 48 minutes remaining. I am running this on three cores as it seems to run a lot slower on 6.
It is currently at 35.3% give or take 12.6 days of the LA process to go.I upgraded to version 1.52 this is the reason why the speed increase has happened I'm still running it on three cores |

L1354 has finished sieving. |
The Haswell machine running L1821 has dropped off the network: probably just needs a reboot, but since I am in Zagreb at present it won't get rebooted until Sunday night.
PS I heartily recommend Zagreb, particularly to people who are put off Vienna by the price. |
Greg: yup, I started filtering shortly before your post. remdups4 produced ~222M unique relations
