We are downloading it right now.
We have the impression, from compiling msieve, that msieve can work with the gzipped .dat file. Is that correct?
Using zlib is set to on, by default. However you will get a warning (and a precautionary exit) if you will have both .dat and a .dat.gz file in the working directory. msieve will tell you to move away (or delete) one of them. |
I've just noticed that 8647_61_minus1, SNFS 240, 31-bit LPs, will have 185M raw relations when sieving is finished.
Isn't that a bit low ? 205-215M (the usual RSALS target for 31-bit LPs) might be more oversieving than necessary, but 195-200M probably wouldn't hurt. The jury's out on whether the post-processing wall clock time saved by those extra relations would compensate the extra sieving wall clock time, though... |

A four-level stack, each stack containing a 2x2 square of cards, each card with a physically small SSD, would be a nice machine which would fit on a desktop easily enough. Never got around to building it though.

Greg, I think it's better to unreserve F1157.

Are you trying to win a prize for excessive redirection? 'grep prime results.txt' does it with none, you are using three!
