P. S. GC_2_809 has over a week in LA.

Problem with GC_12_222?

I've noticed the sieving of this number seems strange. The number of pending work units seems to steadily decrease but nothing else has changed in days. The received work units, as well as relations and estimated pending relations seem frozen.

Is there a problem?

139.5 hours on 8 threads on an i7-2630QM. Matrix was 11.4M.

Are you guys keeping up with the work?
I can do post-processing on lasieved numbers if needed. I've done post-processing on a few lasieved tasks in the past and should still have a login (if it is still active?). But if you're keeping up easily, then I'll continue running ECM :).

fivemack 2014-09-09 16:32

Taking GC_3_500, ETA Monday morning

Seems to be doing ok right now, but I doubt anyone would complain if you wanted to grab one

Do you have the capability to do lasievee numbers (12G memory, possibly as much as two weeks on four cores Haswell or similar) - if so, L1279 is looming slightly on the horizon and it would be very nice if someone could kill it off. If not, I'll see what I can do when L1277 is done.

wombatman 2014-09-09 18:01

And GC_2_811 factors as:
prp78 factor: 222992570311965463674668896663733025592666220877827512705309684632819677934689

15.9M matrix on 8 threads of an i7-4930K took somewhere in the neighborhood of 150 hours.

I'd also like to grab GC_5_352.

Unfortunately the machine (3770k) has only 8GB memory. I've already been looking at upgrading it to 16GB, but I also might need a different CPU cooler. The current cooler (Scythe Mugen 3) is so wide it hangs over the first memory slot. But low profile ram might just do the trick.

I'll take GC_2_795 when it's ready sieving (and not taken already) as a practise run.

[edit]
I just checked, my login still works.
