I could see no problem with the screenshot you posted. You just choose a worktype that will indeed takes ages to complete on a single core. With a FFT size of 20480 an LL test of M332233997 would take about 2500 days on single core of a 2666 MHz core2 duo processor.

Perhaps you could switch to more reasonable work types with the current hardware.

Please help:sad:
In addition to what Jacob wrote: That just shows how big these numbers are. The mainstream L-L assignments that GIMPS is currently handing out are for exponents in the range of 22M-50M or so. An exponent of 332M, as yours is, will take several times as long to L-L test as one in the 50M range. The 2018 estimate seems reasonable, and probably isn't wrong by more than a couple of years -- maybe, just maybe 2015 if nothing goes wrong and your system isn't doing much else to interrupt prime95.

:smile:Hi. well, i wouldn`t go for more tha a trial factor (LMH, perhaps better) for a number of such magnitude with a single core. Running 24/7/ during years, it will stress memory far beyond it could handle. Nothing less than a Quad core and a 64 bits O.S seems reazonable for that task.
Best regards, Carlos
