I knew a guy who went into hospital for a persistent chest infection, and found out that he had a 'hidden twin' whose calcium-ossified remnants occupied he space of roughly half of his right lung. No word on whether it talked back to the surgeons who ended up removing it. |

It was diagnosed as a tumor, but when it was removed, it ran away. He calls himself Jonas Venture Jr., Jonas being their father's name. He is stunted, but probably smarter than Rusty, except for being batshit like everyone else in that series. It was depicted as intra-uterine combat in which Rusty ate Jonas. EDIT: Does the removal of the 'hidden twin' above count as an abortion? |

I think only if the hidden twin is viable and non-evil. OTOH you have scenarios such as depicted in the movie How to Get Ahead in Advertising, whose title turns out to be an evil-twin pun. |

I've heard of proverbially "biting the bullet," but this is ridiculous, especially as these were sharp-tipped long-cartridge rifle bullets. Xyzzy, neighbors of yours, perchance? The aggregate list of interesting non-food items eaten by this pooch is ... impressive. LOL: However, Benno's eating habits may not improve. Since surgery, he has already eaten one of Brassfield's wife's bras. Not while the wife was wearing it, we hope. Maybe it was one of those bras popular in the 50s and 60s with bullet-shaped cups. |
Absmeier was a passenger in a prototype Audi Q5 crossover vehicle equipped with lasers, radar, cameras and special computer software designed to enable the vehicle to drive itself, with a person at the wheel as a backup. As the Delphi vehicle prepared to change lanes, a Google self-driving prototype - a Lexus RX400h crossover fitted with similar hardware and software - cut off the Audi, forcing it to abort the lane change, Absmeier said. The Delphi car "took appropriate action," according to Absmeier.
Perhaps not WTF because there is no stand your ground law in California. |
Meanwhile, the same thing happens thousands of times per day with carbon based controllers at the wheel. I am also willing to bet that it was a carbon based machine which

labelled the incident a "close call" (aborting an intended lane change is hardly an unusual occurrence on the road)
failed to take account, or was unaware, of the reasons why the vehicle doing the "cutting off" (another subjective term) carried out that manoeuvre (was it avoiding a collision from a third vehicle, for example?)
had commercial reasons for highlighting and publicising the incident, hoping to discredit a rival.
|
