I think the problem is that the bills have to be pulled flat to see the ink voids.
Automated scanning could detect whether a sheet is folded by measuring the outer dimensions, even if it couldn't detect the fold itself (which wouldn't really be all that difficult).
It really depends on how much pressure has to be applied to each bill to lay it flat to check and how hard it would be to recognize the viods.
No, because it's not necessary to pull it flat to detect a fold; the smaller (or larger, depending on circumstances) outer dimension of the image on a folded sheet would be easily detectable by an automated scanner. |

Found this a little revealing about math. Kinda sad more than laughable. |
No, this is not the punch line of a joke. A Pew Research Center Poll from July 2009 showed that only around
6
percent of U.S. scientists are Republicans;
55
percent are Democrats,
32
percent are independent, and the rest "don't know" their affiliation.
http://www.slate.com/id/2277104/
There is no take-away message...just <argh> WTF! </argh> |

glad the cat did it and not me lol. |
I have a story about a cat up a tree. For those sensitive the cat gets injured.
There was a cat stuck up a tree at the back of our house some years ago and eventually the fire brigade agreed to come out. So four firemen stood at the bottom holding a big blanket while another went up a ladder and poked the cat with a stick. The cat missed the blanket. I think it broke its leg but recovered okay. It was as much as the firemen could do to not laugh. I'm saying nothing.
|
I have a story about a cat up a tree. For those sensitive the cat gets injured.
It's a complete WOMBAT rescuing cats from trees. Cats are perfectly capable of getting themselves down from trees. All they require is a sufficient incentive, such as not getting their KittyNosh for a day or two. In the case you report, I'm certain it would have come down by itself uninjured if possibly somewhat thinner.
Face it: how often do you see the corpse of a cat dead from starvation wedged in the branches of a tree? FWIW, I've been living with cats for a long time now and currently have four in residence. Paul |
