They had to put the calf down because it had human smell on it. I think it's stupid too, but I don't remember their justification for what they did. They apparently had a huge meeting to decide, so, I dunno, maybe it's justified.
Maybe they should put the humans down because they had bison smell on them. An uncle of mine that just retired last year who had worked at Yellowstone for 40 years has numerous stories about the stupid things that people do. |

Plus 1 to that! Now, on the other hands, this all story seems very silly on this side of the pool. Why do they need to put the little bison down? Don't they have facilities to take care of it for a while? In a year or so, that could be released back to the wild, and don't lose it. What they do with hurt, wounded, sick animals? Let the wolves take care, or what? I don't know how it works there, but all the story seems silly. What the park rangers are doing there, aren't they supposed to protect the animals? Well, I may be totally out of line here (influenced by the fact that we have about 15 of those - European version of - bisons in Romania - called "zimbru" in local language - in two different places in the country, and they are watched with a lot of care... They even have a hospital...), but I really feel extreme sorry for the little guy to die like that, for some stupid tourist. At least, in Germany they don't put the big vulva down for any idiot who gets stuck inside.... (I heard that it is actually happening every year...) |

And in Japan after a protracted court tussle, an artist's vagina shaped kayak is recognized as art but providing the data for others to 3-D print their own copies is distributed obscenity. Cops to public: Stop calling alleged drug dealer’s phone, we need to search it

First of all, he is all out of drugs for tonight. Secondly you don’t need to call – we will come to you soon enough. Oh, and his ringtone is terrible! Thank you so much for your patience."
|

That is quite possibly the funniest (and most impacting) thing I have ever read. :tu: |
