Predict M48...
Well, we don't know "M47" is prime, but we have strong evidence for it, so it's time to have a guess at M48. My guess: about 59M, January 2011. :curtisc:
(Mods: Feel free to delete this thread if "M47" turns out not to be prime.) |
88M, Nov 2011.

In the neighborhood of 47.3M.

Thought you had already posted a poll on this topic. My vote was sometime after 2025 (Assuming us or our progeny ever live to see it) |

Not a very conservative guess  |
Thought you had already posted a poll on this topic.
Not for M48.

I was referring to a 100M digit prime. (I voted for after 2025) Re M48, the "expected" exponent is ~60,000,000 On the old primenet I used to check on the number of LL tests completed per hour. It was ~10 and falling. Can someone tip me on the simplest way of monitoring this on the new version? David |

... Can someone tip me on the simplest way of monitoring this on the new version?
I would say, start with this page: http://v5www.mersenne.org/report_recent_cleared/ Then do your sums. |

Then do your sums.
Well if that's the simplest way I'll give up. Off for some beer before the shop shuts. |
