question about the reassignment

My Prime95 reports me that some exponents may be reassigned. The author wrote me for big exponents this won't be happening.

My question is what is big because exponents between 20M and 100M are most certainly needing more than a year of calculation

21M is 0.031s/iter on a slow i7, 0.028s/iter on a slow core2, and 0.063s/iter on a slow Athlon64, so between seven and sixteen days ... way under a year.

Sorry, I meant decimal digits ...

How about numbers like M122xxxxxx? They need around a year with 2 Core2Duo Cores ...

Don't worry about it. Nothing is automatic. It's just saying that George reserves the right to reassign exponents if somebody holds a reservation for a long time without making reasonable progress. It's mainly there to prevent people from hoarding years of work, or putting first-time tests on older hardware.
