how do i uninstall Prime95?
 

i am not seeing a prime 95 folder in program files and it is not showing up in the add/remove software wizard but it starts up everytime i turn on my pc. does anyone have any advice?

You can disable it by unchecking Options > Start at Bootup.
If you're quitting GIMPS, please use Advanced > Quit GIMPS... and either let it finish the current assignment so no work is lost, or unreserve your current assignment so that the server knows you've stopped and can reassign it immediately (instead of waiting for it to expire a few months later).

After following Mini-geek's advice, you can just delete prime95 & its files & folder (if it has one of its own) but first you have to find it. Possible places: where you downloaded the zip file, your temporary files folder, your "My Documents" folder. Or try Windows' search facilities. Or just not bother!

If you use Windows, there also might be a shortcut in the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu folder. Search for "prime95" on your C: drive and delete them all.
