In working on the size 101 sequences, I came painfully close to my first termination or merge:
1458280 dropped all the way to 7641200 at I2957...barely missed. I'm mentioning this here because when I loaded the factors it appeared to be a true merge with "something" because it immediately jumped up to 110 digits. Could it possibly have merged with a smaller sequence? I'm not sure how to do research on merges with sequences other than the lowest point of a particular sequence so could someone look into this? I do see that nearly all sequences < 10M have already been factored to close to 100 digits. So likely it "merged" with some work already done on 7641200. |
Sequences verified as merged:
alq_1408668.elf-10 . 12463424 = 2^6 * 23 * 8467 alq_1408668.elf:11 . 13347040 = 2^5 * 5 * 7 * 17 * 701 -- alq_1458280.elf-2957 . 7641200 = 2^4 * 5^2 * 7 * 2729 alq_1458280.elf:2958 . 13347040 = 2^5 * 5 * 7 * 17 * 701
The new update command together with the much older merge finder should generally be sufficient. |
Hooray! I actually got a merge!
 |
Now I got my first termination:
1485060  |
They come in pairs! Congrats!
