I came up with:
# sigma(293459^28) = 12239 * 99761 * 1753164483564713 * (C129) 576501205199187172515571885031916742894948015664001084125926570588388534895194026389497962449915683852865012722384633633975667743 # sigma(293459^28)=(293459^29-1)/(293459-1) name: o293459 n: 576501205199187172515571885031916742894948015664001084125926570588388534895194026389497962449915683852865012722384633633975667743 type snfs c5: 1: c0: -293459 m: 638681886998442927448669513893241
But I havn't tested it. It's really 293459^30-293459. You are welcome to use it if you want. Chris K |

fivemack: will do 230329301^17-1 That looks a good candidate for an inverted octic.
No, actually, it isn't; very small. We save a^2 in size, but we pay with an awkward poly. In fact, the earlier one (that was done by Andy47) was bigger and still was slower than a sextic, but it was fun, wasn't it? I think octics like fugu should be tried once. |

Why would your poly work(after adding the colon after type:smile:) but not mine? Mine was
name: oddperfect n: 576501205199187172515571885031916742894948015664001084125926570588388534895194026389497962449915683852865012722384633633975667743 skew: 1 c5: 1 c0: -293459 Y0: 638681886998442927448669513893241 Y1: -1 m: 638681886998442927448669513893241 type: snfs
|
1. You don't need m if you've got Y1 and Y0.
2. Y1 should be 1 not -1 and Y0 should be -638...241 not 638...241. |
2. Y1 should be 1 not -1 and Y0 should be -638...241 not 638...241.
Doesn't matter. In fact, (-1,m) is preferred as it generates positive values. EDIT:- BTW, skew 1 is not optimal. Try 12.4 [(c0/c5)^(1/5)] |

Yes, it was fun, although the air was getting quite thin at the end (low yield and high duplication rate above Q=40M) BTW: I prefer octics over fugu - at least on octics I don't die when something goes wrong. ;) |
I'll do (55333^31-1)/(55333-1) (best claim it before someone else does).
