I never realized that factoring was so dangerous to ones health :-)

Best wishes.

I will join the chorus, wishing a favorable outcome, on one of the surgeries that has one of the poorest odds for success.

Hope you and your machines fly through with minimal down time.

I have already had 6 spinal surgeries! 3 on cervical vertebrae, 3 on lumbar.
My L3/L4 disc is essentially gone. The vertebrae are virtually touching..
This time, I have a right side large herniation on the L4/L5 disc.....
The L3/L4 disc isn't herniated; there isn't enough left of the disc
to cause a bulge....

The last lumbar surgery was in 95.. It worked fairly well. I did have
a fusion done in 2001 on the C7/T1. It cured the neck pain, but
did permanent damage to my vocal chords. The left side of my
chords is paralyzed owing to nerve damage. It actually requires a
deliberate effort for me to talk; I have to work to force words out.

I enquired about fusing the lumbar discs. I was told that it would have to be
a multi-level fusion, L3/4, L4/5 and L5/S1 and would be MAJOR surgery.
Fusing just one disc would put excessive strain on neighboring discs
given the general messed up condition of my lumbar spine.

I'm sorry to hear that litany of woes; I hope this surgery goes well.
