I find the original form of the instrument more elegant, although there are more controllable parameters for the Aura. The gauntlets might provide some on-stage flash, if suitably embellished with say, programmable LEDs.

I play a MIDI wind controller, which translates various "gestures," such as fingering keys and varying one's breath, into MIDI control signals. These are sent to a big old rack mounted synth which can produce all kinds of sounds. Consequently, I'm in no position to be too critical of other instruments of the same broad type. I wonder if it will make it past the prototype stage. It could be a lot of fun.
