I'll meet you with "A Wandering Minstrel I" (Mikado) and raise your "Poor Wandering One" in a Texas accent with "Wandering Star" in Oxonian.
Best attempted early in the morning after a lifetime of smoking and drinking!

There was a time long past I could do the soprano and tenor parts. For the last several decades I've been in the Mikado, Pish Tush, Pooh Bah, and Pirate King range. I can do a respectable Usher from Trial by Jury, or Don Alhambra from Gondoliers. I was actually cast in the role of Antonio in a Houston G&S Society production when I was 18 or 19.

Yep love it.
A cross between Twinckle Ywinkkle Little Star and Baa Baa Black Sheep.

I note someone has created a thread entitled "Me Myself & I".
Most appropriate for the Gerbils etc.

Apparently if you watch "To Have and to Have Not" carefully, you can tell that Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall have a thing going on.

Now listen to Lester Young and Billie Holiday on

But could you have composed this gem?

No. I was a decent baritone who knows a lot of G&S, having heard it from an early age, and having a savant talent for remembering songs.

Getting a part in an operetta does not even remotely imply the talent to compose the work.

The clothes say "groovy, man", but it still rocks. The classics endure.

This is strange because it does not sound like a special sound effect. It sounds very good actually.

This video has been in several posts of my G+ stream the last couple of days and today I finally succumbed to the sinister influence (I looked at it). I wanted to bring it to these forums... but it just didn't seem relevant enough -- THEN (cue thunder and lightning) -- I realized it IS a song and there is a place to put music. Love the Einstein sock puppet.

my new 'hit' of the moment : Hail to the king
A tad violent, no bad word, might be NSFW

lyrics below

Watch your tongue or have it cut from your head
Save your life by keeping whispers unsaid
Children roam the streets now orphans of war
Bodies hanging in the streets to adore

Royal fames will carve a path in chaos,
Bringing daylight to the night
Death is riding into town with armor,
They've come to take all your rights

Hail to the king
Hail to the one
Kneel to the crown
Stand in the sun
Hail to the king

Blood is spilt while holding keys to the throne
Born again but it's too late to atone
No mercy - from the edge of the blade
Dare escape and learn the price to be paid

Let the water flow with shades of red now
Arrows black out all the light
Death is riding into town with armour
They've come to grant you your rights

Hail to the king
Hail to the one
Kneel to the crown
Stand in the sun
Hail to the king

(Guitar Solo)

There's a taste of fear
When the henchmen call
Iron fist to tame the land
Iron fist to claim it all

Hail to the king
Hail to the one
Kneel to the crown
Stand in the sun

Hail to the king
Hail to thw one
Kneel to the crown
Stand in the sun

Hail to the king

It feel like it should be included in a Game of throne episode.
