Michael Buble
Wikipedia:

Bublé has been described as having a vocal style similar to that of Frank Sinatra, even as being "an heir to Sinatra".[17] He is a Baritone; his range goes from F#2 (as heard in "Call Me Irresponsible") to Bb4 (as heard in "Kissing A Fool").
I could never stand Sinatra but I find Michael Buble great.
Funny enough I bought this week:
The Road to Escondido - J.J. I also love Steely Dan, but finding someone with a similar taste in music is not rare. So, remarkable as it was, your week's purchases don't shatter my non-belief! Try this one. I was corresponding with a math friend and we arrived at different results for the same problem. On inspection, we had both written unrelated four digit numbers in our posts, and had both made the same typo: the middle digits were swapped! I was awoken the other day by the dulcet tones of "White Light/White Heat" (Velvet Underground). Realizing it was "Desert Island Discs", I thought whoever this is, she has taste. It was Debbie Harry (Blondie). She also chose Mahler "Death in Venice". When it came to the ritual ending "You are given the works of Shakespeare and the Bible...." "THE BIBLE?????.......well at least there are plenty of stories in it" "You have to choose one other book" Pause. "Dostoyevsky?" "Which one?" persisted Kirsty Wark. Pause. "War and Peace?" Regaining her diplomacy, Kirsty refrained from the obvious retort, and said simply "It's certainly long enough". See if you can catch this on BBC Iplayer. David |
