Don't forget the range. |

Ah, yes. Just to make this official: the range reported complete is for n=50K-200K. |
I have verified the results files for k=1005-1200 and n=50K-200K and posted all primes in the 1st post of this drive.
I ran a double-check on all primes found to verify that they were all prime. No problems found. I also included a small statistic at the bottom of the 1st post that shows the % of new primes found. A total of 379 primes were found for k=1005-1200; 56 of which were confirming primes previously found. That's 85.2% new primes. Keep on rolling! Gary |
i've just uploaded the Drive #9 page with new data.
just for now only 8 k's complete, number of candidates upto k=1200 for any k and known primes shown upto k=1299. i will compile more data today and upload them tomorrrow, same time! i've not yet updated the 300<k<2000 page! |

Actually, I think the 9th Drive should be complete by the time this rally starts...right, Gary? Anyway, as for the rally: I'm in with 6 cores. :big grin: |

Anyway, as for the rally: I'm in with 6 cores. :big grin:[/quote] I don't think so because we still need to complete the n=200k-350k range, lot's of work in there. |

Hmm...well, still, I'm thinking that it would be best to, say, put the 200K-350K range on hold, and first get the 8th Drive up to at least 375K or maybe even 400K so that we can be safely ahead of the top-5000 lower limit; then, we could put the 8th Drive back on hold until we've completed the 200K-350K range of the 9th Drive. Gary, what do you think of this? |

It was my intent to not start the n=200k-350k range until we are well into the 8th drive. Perhaps that is what you and Karsten are concerned about with us having too much going at once. Let's get some top-5000 primes moving first. Don't we want to keep pace with PrimeGrid and RPS? If we have too much non-top-5000 work going, that won't happen. Perhaps when we get up to 375k or 400k on the 8th drive, we can start the 200k-350k range. I'll put it up to other's opinions as to when we start but I think we definitely need to wait 1-2 months. Max is correct, the 9th drive will likely be complete to 200k before the rally. I'll be moving 2 more quads over here in the next few hours. If it still doesn't look like it'll be done before the rally, I'll move more. Gary |
You can do whatever you want just let IB9000 with work (n=200k-350k)for me and for the others interested in the lower ranges. If you like to please everyone do that.
