I think we've got it all wrong. The primes get more numerous as you search higher! :smile:

4 primes have been mentioned since this post so I am guessing we not have at least 70 primes for n=480K-500K.

There were 41 primes for the range n=425K-440K in this drive. This is 3/4 of the size of the higher ranges. Based on that there should be about 54.67 primes in n=420K-440K which is again lower than higher ranges. I reckon when we test n=420K-425K we will find less than 13.67 primes.

Yes, the total was 70 primes for n=480K-500K. Very remarkable. Of course there is no predicatibility for n=420K-425K but it's fun to think that we can based on this inverse pattern of increasing primes. :smile: In the mean time, here's the 1st prime for k=2000-3000/n>500K:

2949*2^500481-1 is confirmed prime
