Zachariassen found:
1445*2^558010-1 is prime Got 'er submitted finally after fighting problems with automatically entered passwords for quite a while. |
Note: with the recent changes, this will now be "NPLB, Srsieve" in the input field instead of "PrimeSearch, Srsieve".
(That is, unless that hasn't been changed over just yet with all the behind-the-scenes stuff...)
Select LLR I used "NPLB, Srsieve" in the field below and it gives credit to: Geoffrey Reynolds' srsieve (program) PrimeSearch (#518) : PrimeSearch (project) Correct? Edit: After gd_barnes posted posted "No!! Not yet" Could somebody please make up my mind which way to have it |
<Picard on> Make it so! <Picard off>
|
It would appear that Dr Caldwell has set up the alias already.
|
I'm in a holding pattern untill I know if I should continue the way I have it "NPLB, Srsieve" or change it to "Srsieve, PrimeSearch"
Select LLR
I used "NPLB, Srsieve" in the field below and it gives credit to: Geoffrey Reynolds' srsieve (program) PrimeSearch (#518) : PrimeSearch (project) Correct? Edit: After gd_barnes posted posted "No!! Not yet" Could somebody please make up my mind which way to have it
That is correct. Enter it as "PrimeSearch, srsieve" I was telling Max, no, not yet on entering NPLB as the project name in a proof code. Continue exactly as I stated in my post. Guys, you are confusing Razor here. Prof. Caldwell has changed nothing yet or I would have gotten an Email from him to that effect. I also would have made a huge announcement in the news and started changing all of the instructions on entering new proof codes. Yes, I changed the "Username" on our project to NPLB but the project name in the proof code is still PrimeSearch. Make sense everyone? Razor, sorry, this is a huge transition period for us. Gary |
To be safe use PrimeSearch instead of NPLB.
Then submit your prime. |
I won't be back on the forum until later tonight.
For anyone who is trying to enter a new proof code: If it turns out that "PrimeSearch, srsieve" doesn't work, then "NPLB, srsieve" should work. About 2 hours ago for Zachariassen's prime, I used "PrimeSearch, srsieve" and it worked fine. Brian (PCZ), you are correct, it does appear that Chris may have set up the alias since "NPLB, srsieve" still picked up the PrimeSearch project. Therefore we may be able to enter it either way, at least for a period of time. Edit: I just now looked at Razor's proof code L807. It looks good. Now the prime just needs to be submitted. It looks like we have another Brian. :-) Gary |
I was going to suggest that i could be referred to as Brian L.
Thats not going to work either is it  |
Ok changed to "Srsieve, PrimeSearch" and reports additional credit goes to:

I completely understand that things are being changed around at the moment and it figures I have to get right in the middle of it at right at the worst time. But hey what are guinea pigs for, right? It's all good, anytime you need another alpha guinea pigs tester just let me know. I'm your man. |
Thanks the other Brian (Razor). (lol) Yep, right in the middle of the transition period. Everything looks great.
Once it is all set up like that, entering primes is a snap in the future. |
